Exhibition

Had a look at the West Cork Creates exhibition in Skibbereen at lunchtime. Beautiful craftwork and paintings but I was mainly interested in the photographs on show. Some work by the father, son and daughter, Michael, Denis and Anne Minihane all former or current professional photographers in Cork. Also some iconic portraits of everyone from Shane McGowan to Andy Warhol by West Cork photographer John Minihan (no relation) perhaps best known for his portraits of Samuel Beckett. My favourites though and what I most wanted to see was Rohan Reilly's work. He's also based near Skibbereen in Baltimore. I find his landscapes breathtaking.
