Bee on Lavender

Saw a photo of lavender on flickr this morning which inspired me to try the same. Lovely macro. (1) I used the wrong length macro lens (2) I'm not used to handling a camera on a monopod (3) I didn't give myself enough time.

So here is my offering of a bee extracting nectar from lavender. The wings look pretty sharp.

Mostly cloudy today and the sun only comes over the lavender at about 4-6 pm, so had to use a window of opportunity.

Got TMA 07 in, thank goodness.
