Singing Pebbles.

Here we are: Jane, Jitka, Richard, Terry - the dogs - and me (behind the camera obviously!!!) having a pre dinner beer and snacks on the beach just across the road from Jitka's home, studio and rental properties*!. We had a splendid evening, great food, funny stories....and the most amazing views.

Got home late and very tired, so it is now tuesday morning! i'm so stunned and saddened by the death of Robin Williams! i find it so hard to comprehend the depth of depression that would lead someone to end their life! a very good friend of mine's son, 26 years old, took his life about 3 weeks ago......i'm still reeling from that shock and shaking my head. we so easily refer to the 'gift' of our life, and the preciousness of our lives....but i guess for some people it is just so very difficult a struggle to go on, that ending it is their only choice. Heartbreaking for those left behind.

* Singing Pebbles refers to the wonderful music that comes from the waves rolling over the rocks and pebbles on this, and many other beaches here on Cape Breton Island.
