PERSEVERENCE again today

“I’ll get to these sunflower seeds if it’s the last thing I do!”

This little guy is determined to figure out a way to get to this bird feeder. He spent tons of time yesterday trying over and over to succeed. I couldn’t believe he hadn’t given up by now. Today's new idea was to get a head start by starting IN the boxwood bush instead of starting from the ground. We have greased the pole, trimmed a few tree branches, and moved the feeder further out from the tree, then he jumped a good 5 – 6 feet from the shed roof, so we moved it again. This ‘squirrel baffle’ is our latest attempt at keeping the squirrels off the bird feeder. It’s a war of wits, and I don’t necessarily believe we will be the winners!
