Miracles

More-or-less-Mono Monday. I've completely lost track of challenges so this is just a stab in the dark sepia.

I've been reading a wonderful book called 'Journey with Thérèse of Lisieux: Celebrating the Artist in Us All' by Brother Michael O'Neill McGrath, OSFS. It's filled with sepia drawings like the one I've shown here. Brother Mickey tells how St. Thérèse came into his life and accompanied him on his journey as a Christian and an artist. He claims that occasionally a particular saint adopts us and decides to help us because the saint has something we need. I too have been adopted by saints, so I know what he means. That's one miracle.

The miracle of the cup that doesn't spill is easier to explain. I moved to a different angle to get rid of a bleaching effect of sunlight, thinking I would just turn the photo around online, forgetting that the cup would also turn! Silly me.

The third miracle might be tougher to bring about, even for a saint. I received the results of my CT scan this afternoon in a brief phone call. The CT scan tends to contradict the good news in the ultrasound and tends to confirm the bad news in the ultrasound. Thursday's biopsy will hopefully shed more light. I do believe in miracles of healing and pray that I receive one. But if that's not available, I pray for clarity. It's hard enough to make good decisions when the facts are clear, but when they're not, what can one do except pray for guidance?
