Off The Rails
We were invited to L&B's house for lunch today as a pre-camping get together. It was also an opportunity to finally sort the "gazebo situation" out: ten of us need to fit into one, without it being far too big. L & myself found a 4.5x3.5m white one at a jolly good price. Water proof, sides and all. Job done. L also had a look at my laptop and managed to sort out some of the slow-ness that tends to exist in old(ish) computers. A healthy supply of beers were exchanged, as you do. The kids just did the usual Minecraft this 'n' that! Ace time.
The title pretty much sums up my little trip afterwards via some local areas where I used to play as a kid. I had to drop some stuff off for a couple of people and being car-less, still, I used my bike. Much has changed: plenty of over growth, new play areas, new houses/shops, new walkways, but I managed to find my way around without being too late getting back home. And a knocked down Primary School, though I never used to play round here (pictured). This school was demolished a few years ago and nothing much has happened to the grounds since: the school sign is still there, the gates have been forced open and the side railings have been given, what looks like, a jolly good crushing with a car/van/lorry. Everywhere I looked, a rail of some sort kept popping up.........click here for more.
