Life's a beach

The wee man woke up early today, which was ideal for as we were both keen to play with each other - having been apart for the best part of two weeks.

After eating lunch at Pannikins Coffee & Tea, we drove around our new neighbourhood, scoping out the local amenities in Encinitas.

We had heard that the beach was relatively close to the new house but we didn't quite realise how close it was. It's literally two or three minutes walk away!

We all had a bit of a kick around on the sand before the wee man braved a paddle in the ocean. I must admit I was impressed with how well he handled it. Granted, he wanted to hold onto my hands but he loved the waves lapping over his feet.

Following his midday nap, we headed over to the Sea Life Aquarium at Legoland, and finished the day with a quick trip to Target - where the wee man decided rearrange the shelves of raisins such that they were all neatly aligned, pointing straight out. I think he might have a little OCD x
