Looks Good To Me

The Food-Taster

That's Cynthia, in the fetching sun/rain hat.

We went to the Summer Harvest Day event at Cloud Mountain Farm today. The main attraction, as far as I was concerned, was the fruit tasting, but I also enjoyed the pizza sold by one of the regular vendors from the Farmers' Market.

You can see some of the other fruit samples here. (Tomatoes are also fruits, aren't they?)

Cloud Mountain Farm was established in 1978 by our friends Tom and Cheryl Thornton who we met them shortly after moving to Bellingham in 2002. In 2011, the business was converted to a nonprofit community farm center dedicated to providing hands-on learning experiences to aspiring farmers, experienced farmers, and home gardeners. They have an excellent, informative website.

We had to leave the farm early to go to a concert at the Mount Baker Theatre. Cynthia has covered that in great detail (of course) in her blip!
