Cardinal's Wing

A Northern Cardinal spreading its wing , in shadows at quite a distance behind our house. Not exciting but perhaps interesting for some.

What definitely intrigued me today was the final round of the PGA Championship in Kentucky--the final major golf tournament of the year. It was delayed by a downpour of over an inch of rain (3 cm) in an hour around noon, and finally finished at about 8:45 pm in near total darkness. Rory McIlroy won--his third consecutive victory in a month, including the British Open. He's the biggest phenomenon in golf since the heyday of Tiger Woods. Phil Mickelson finished second by a stroke--I'd been rooting for him.
