Roesel's bush-cricket

A day spent finishing my latest report, while listening to the torrential rain flooding over the gutters like a mountain cascade. I didn't manage to get out, so was lucky to find this beautful female bush-cricket in the fridge, brought home by Chris to be photographed. I'm sure I've blipped Roesel's bush cricket before, but I've never previously noticed the red-tipped spines on its back leg (though I'm not sure you'll be able to see tham!). Anyway, as you can probably tell, I've upgraded my macro lens, and will get the old one repaired in due course and donate it to Chris, as he's also very keen on insect macro-photography.
