Bertha in Southend

The remains of hurricane Bertha arrived and left swiftly in Southend. It was blustery by the time we arrived.

This is our last visit to Southend for a while as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat finished today. Lucie has thoroughly enjoyed herself but is now extremely tired and very hoarse. She wants to do it again and we may consider the one in Tunbridge Wells.

In the meantime I want the warm summer to continue and don't like this autumnal change that seems to have arrived. Thinking of my poor eldest hanging onto her tent no doubt although I'm sure she's having the time of her life.
