Year 2, Day 201 - Orkney Bound

I haf forgotten how long a journey it was to the far north!!! We left at 8.00am and got to John O' Groats at 2pm. We then had two hours to kill...

Thankfully a calm ferry crossing (not good with boats!) and we arrived at the accommodation at about 6.30. All seemed fine to start with but we shortly decided it was crap! Damp, mouldy and just old. Old I can deal with if it was clean and not damp or mouldy!! Totally the opposite of what was described on the web page!!!!

We decided there wasn't much we could do about it so we headed into Kirkwall for fish and chips then walked the dog along the beach at Scapa then had an early night...
