Cycling Road Race

We watched the Women's event on TV and then headed through for the men's race.

This is blipped just as we came out of Queen Street Station. We eventually settled ourselves on West George Street just outside Cafe Wander...perfect to grab a coffee and enjoy the excitement.

We managed a good hour and a bit spectating before the heavens opened. Braved it for a bit but it became a bit ridiculous so we took shelter in a McDonalds and had some lunch.

By the time we came back out a lot of the cyclists had called it a day too...157 started...12 finished:-/.

Thankfully though things had dried out a bit by the time the closing ceremony started in the evening.

Glasgow has put on a fantastic Commonwealth Games:-)
