The Red Ladies, Turner Contemporary, Margate
Day 205 of 365. Had a day off so decided to go to Margate as I hadn't been there since I was a child and it was a beautiful, sunny, very warm summer's day. The main reason to go was to see the Mondrian exhibition at Turner Contemporary and , of course, to get some fresh sea air. The exhibition was fantastic (and free!).
While I was there these Red Ladies appeared as if out of nowhere. They are from a group of performance artists called the Clod Ensemble. Their website says " Red Ladies keep an eye on things. They observe. They witness. They gather evidence". I thought it was really clever, surprising with a splash of retro glamour and a nice dash of humour.
