Chilling

Took a bracing walk through Holyrood Park this morning then went on to the Palace. It's a long time since I was last there and I found it all very interesting. Skulking round Lord Darnley and Mary Queen of Scots' chambers, it's fascinating to think of all the dastardly deeds and intrigue that went on there almost 500 years ago. It reads like a top-selling thriller.

Meanwhile at the loch, the swans, geese and ducks had a very narrow channel to swim along since their water had frozen over once again.
