Polecat

Either a real polecat, or a polecat/ferret hybrid - does anyone know? Road casualty beside Slyer's Lane, just north of Dorchester on the Pddlehinton road.

Polecats have apparently returned to Dorset in the wild but many sightings refer to escaped polecat/ferret hybrids (they are essentially the same species). I'm not sure whether this is a genuine polecat, and if so whether I should report this sighting to someone
