York Minster
Last day in York, no trip to York would be complete without exploring the city walls and visiting the minster, which it exactly what we did. After dropping our bags at the train station, we walked along the wall and up to York Minster. We timed it well as it was beginning to rain as we were entering the minster. We paid extra to go up to the tower. It was quite a climb and a strain on our already sore muscles from all the walking we have done in York. Afterwards we wondered why we had paid five pound just to torture ourselves. The lure of a good view I suppose. This photo was taken on the way down. It was a great view of the flying buttresses that could not be seen as well from below.
