D-Day for Ellis

Today was D-Day for Ellis: we went to hospital so she could be treated for her ear infection. We had to leave at 7.00 this morning. We arrived in time and around 8.15 she went into the OR. Around 8.45 she was awake again with clean ears and eartubes!

Until 10.00 she was very unhappy. This turned out to be because she was hungry. When this was fixed, she returned to her normal happy state.

This picture was taken around 10.30 when she was still in her hospital bed but already enjoying herself again.

Trivia about the soother she has in this shot: it's a special soother, designed by Dutch TV hostess Irene Moors for the KiKa Foundation. Part of the money we paid for the soother is donated to this foundation and is used for researching childhood cancer.
