Commonwealth Games - Glasgow

We had a brilliant time at the Commonwealth Games with Mandy and Jane. Slightly I expectantly we had amazing seats, right at the front and on the top bend, so you were really up close to all the amazing athletes. It was a great programme with men and women's 200m semi finals and final, David Weir winning gold, men's 800m final, some hurdles, long jump and discus.

On top of these we were positioned at the end of medal winning athletes and their lap of honour, so they ended up interacting with our section a lot. Signing programmes and posing for photos, it was really cool.

Eilidh Child performed really well, winning silver and giving the Scottish crowd something to really cheer about. On her lap of honour we were joined by her mum and dad and family and therefore saw then reunited with lots of tears, smiles and pride. It also meant we were on TV in the background, much to the amusement of friends who kept messaging us to tell us!
