Pink Wax Flower

This is an Eriostemon australasius which we have growing in our garden. I think it is a delightful shrub but is not very common. This is not because it is hard to grow but I understand it is difficult to propagate. We were at Sydney Wildflower Nursery at Heathcote on Saturday and I did notice they again had a few in pots.

Today was my daughter's birthday and we planned to celebrate it at a local Greek Taverna, however, after a series of challenges, including my son-in-law's father ending up in hospital, we decided to delay birthday lunch to another day. :(
