Built to Last?

This is the old part of Timaru hospital. It was completed in 1931, and housed the administration, casualty and outpatient block, and was also the front entrance to the hospital.

I have a feeling it has been marked for demolition, as the cost of bringing it up to the strict earthquake building code is too high.

Sadly, the church I blipped a couple of weeks back has been demolished.
