The bite

The Bite at the Water Front downtown Portland was fun. Tonight we have the full music of Quarter Flash. Adam's BBQ was good with corn on the cob. I tried mead for the first time. Jenny likes the raspberry flavor. Mead is a honey that is made into wine. I thought it was light and airy like pale white wine without the tart of the grape skin. It's like fruit flavored beer but less hop. We also tried peach Bellini. I love being out on a nice evening with my girl and watching other couples enjoying the same atmosphere. The clothes some of the girls wear... sequins, long breezy flowing dresses and the tan skin under the transparent clothes. The scent of smoke meat and beer. The cool flavors of ice cream and hot roasted cinnamon almonds they serve in a cone. I love being outside on a breezy summer nights. We looked for the Chimik vendor but they were not their. Chimik is a Czech pastry that looks like a chimney hence the name. We had it once at the City fair and been looking for them since. The vendor had designed the red truck that clean, and efficient like a small kitchen on wheel.
