Disappointing

This was me all dressed up and on my way over to my sisters place for an afternoon at foodies festival in Edinburgh and a night over at her place, unfortunately it got cancelled as we were driving to hers as she wasn't feeling very well and although she maintained she'd be ok I could tell it was only because she didn't want to let me down!

To be fair I wasn't too bothered about going to the festival, I was more looking forward to catching up with her and having a day/night away from the kids.

John knew how much I'd been looking forward to some time away so he spent afternoon with kids and let me spend the afternoon upstairs reading my book away from the kids, he also kept refreshing my raspberry gin & lemonade drinks and even supplied some popcorn :-)

Although I think he may have had alternate motives as I'm now in bed about to go asleep and he's got the golf on...
