Cable Theives Beware

We're watching you or so it says on the side of this Class 57 loco which is on loan from Virgin and they are known as Thunderbirds hence the name Lady Penelope on the side it was the rear enging working in with The Northern Belle as it arrived in Waverly just as I was heading home so I grabbed this shot of it sitting in platform 1 these engines used to be class 47's before being rebuilds with reconditioned EMD engines between 1998-2004 and this one was leased earlier this year to DRS Railways when I first started as a trainee driver it was one of the first engines I got to drive with my driver Tam O'conner whom I actually bumped into a month ago and he still looks well for a guy in his 80's and he was the driver involved when a cement train derailed in Cupar with a faulty speedo that caused the overbridge to collapse and he was nicknamed Brigadoon lol poor guy it wasn't his fault, anyway and it was a drive from Carlisle to Millerhill with the car train that I first drove a class 47 with Tam which was en-route to Bathgate later that day and I loved the thrust and power of the 47's one of my favourite in fact along with the class 26's as your face was almost right up at the window, anyway I was spare today and not a lot happened and I'm off to Leeds tomorrow around mid-day so now then movie for the day on the theme of the loco is "Thunderbirds Are Go 1968" Looks good BIG as well See Ya
