Cricket in the Park

Spent pleasant hour or so this afternoon watching Dunnikier Cricket Club batting against Broomhall C.C. Today, 9th of August, is sunny and warm. I wonder what it was like a week a later on the 16th August in the year 1930 when my Grandfather played for Cowdenbeath C.C against Dunnikier C.C.
Cricket featured in our family and my father also played against Dunnikier while I by now resident in Kirkcaldy in the 1970's had the pleasure of playing for Dunnikier C.C. who I am pleased to say are still flourishing today
