Ramsbury and Littlecote House

We woke up to beautiful sunshine and decided to make the most of the weather by getting out for a longer walk in the local countryside. I have two great books - Pub Walks in Wiltshire and Waterside Walks in Wiltshire - both listing circular walks between 3 and 7 miles.

We chose nearby Ramsbury (a former bishopric) as our starting point and enjoyed a spectacular walk along the bank of the river Kennett, through the grounds of Littlecote Park and back along the wooded slopes.
