Festival of the blue butterflies

August is the time for festivals of all kinds: the sun eventually came out today and off we scampered to check out the waterfall in the woods on the other side of the valley. It was wonderful after today's rain. Even more delightful and unexpected was the glistening meadow full of butterflies - mostly blue.
