Tranquility

What a day! Our friends were back in Fulford after their trip to Victoria and convinced us to join them for a ride on their boat, Tranquility. I'm not a "boat person" and have never been on a boat like this, but I thoroughly enjoyed cruising from Fulford to Ganges, eating lunch on the boat while moored in Ganges harbour, and cruising back to Fulford. We were aboard from around 10 am until 5:30 pm, then came home for pizza and salad. It was a real treat for G, our daughter Renata and granddaughter Kalyn (who arrived on Thursday night), and me. I was delighted that our friends had a chance to see our daughter and meet our granddaughter. They've known Renata since she was a girl but hadn't seen her for 20 years. The weather was perfect, the water was calm, and we couldn't possibly have had a more enjoyable time.
Today (Saturday), we're meeting Renata's best friend from high school (who was also the maid of honour at her wedding) at the market in Ganges. They haven't seen each other for a few years too. Looking forward to another reconnection!
