Very lucky us!

These are the headlines in the morning paper, after " Iselle " came through.
The Big Island bore the brunt of it. Now it is a tropical storm way to the south of us. It's hot, humid and sticky, also partly sunny, morning rain and big surf. Many people had a mandatory "holiday" to keep people off the roads. Some shopping centers closed as well. The lower foto shows a Santa with violin entertaining hotel workers filling sandbags from the beach.
Isn't it often the case, that if you prepare, the event is not as bad as forecasted? Yes, we were very lucky in this one.
Primary election voting will go on as planned on Saturday.
Hurricane Julio should be here by Monday, tho forecasted for a northerly path above us.
There is other bad weather out there, everyone stay safe.
