Lights Out
The very last 1961 Ford Falcon on the road, smokes the quarter mile at the 131 Martin, Michigan drags strip. "Smoke", not like in "fast" but as in a blue fog of oil smoke. The ambulance sits in the background, just case parts fly off this junk into the crowd.
The Falcon, has many claims to fame, including being one of the crappiest, cars ever made. Ford knew that the new “compact” car had to be much cheaper to build than the “normal” sized cars, so they minimized everything. Paired with the the two-speed Fordomatic transmission, it featured a short-stroke, 144 cubic inch, inline six that produced 90 horsepower. The engine weighed so little that a Chihuahua could lift it.
