Before Bertha

Took the train into London today to attend a lunch at London's oldest restaurant, Rules in Covent Garden. It was a beautifully warm summer day in town, quite sultry and humid. On the way home from the station, it amused me that the car dashboard seemed to be celebrating both a summer location and temperature.

It couldn't last though, and this evening has been wet, wet, wet. It looks like the lashing tail of hurricane Bertha has arrived. It doesn't bode well for doing some gardening tomorrow, boo.
