The Bus Stops Here

Since June, there's been a new attraction outside Hamley's Toy Store in Regent Street to delight children young and old as much as the characters who often greet shoppers at the store entrance (today we had cutlass-bearing bubble-blowing pirates giving away bright yellow balloons).

To mark various bus-related anniversaries this year, Transport for London have commissioned a bus stop on Regent Streeet made from 100,000 Lego bricks. It was only supposed to have stayed there until mid-July, but to the delight of the crowds it's still in place nearly a month later. Amazingly, all the bricks still seem to be in place. Not that I counted. I was too busy trying to get a yellow balloon.
