Studio Bergne

The photo from yesterdays blip is stamped in red with the text un retouched raw copy. The name of the photo studio was Bergne.

The studio was situated in a house called Hästskopalatset in the corner of Regeringsgatan and Hamngatan in Stockholm. There were three studios in parallel with totally 15 room.

The owner Herman Bergne started in 1946 together with a companion Sven-Olof Sandberg the first Swedish color photo lab.

A man called Szilárd Szabad was encouraged from the photographers in the studio to build a camera of his own, and the SZABAD Camera was born. The camera was sold by Hasselblad under the name of Hasselblad Universal.
