Oriole

Great fun watching the orioles squabbling over oranges this morning. They seem to have a very distinct hierarchy - this one had just been chased off by a more dominant bird. And when the adult male shows up, everyone scatters!

They seem very active all of a sudden. Perhaps the chicks are grown and they are gearing up to leave us already? I'll certainly be sorry to see them go.
