Clandon House

Severe back blipping in action here!

The day Lucy came to visit with Lachlan's parents from Australia. I took them to Clandon House to see the Palladian architecture and the wonderful art that the house contains.

I had a distinct feeling that they were not impressed at the idea of the wealth of the past owners or their ability to collect artefacts and china from over the world. When I suggested we visit the Maori meeting house, that was shipped over from New Zealand by Lord Onslow in 1892, I was told that they didn't want to see it. Is there some Austrailan/New Zealand divide that I don't know about?

It was a good day however and I hoped that they enjoyed themselves.
