Keep the home fires burning (1914)

My cheminea, bought by my son, daughter and son in law who live in Australia. I loved the campfire they had created in the garden, so they thought this could be my campfire in Wales.

Keep the Home-Fires Burning is a British patriotic First World War song composed in 1914 by Ivor Novello with words by Lena Gilbert Ford

The song was published first as 'Till the Boys Come Home on 8 October 1914 A new edition was printed in 1915 with the name Keep the Home-Fires Burning.

They were summoned from the hillside,
