English Country Garden
Left our patch today to walk around Thornton and Queensbury
Spent the first mile crossing farmland - saw charging highland cattle - thankfully not in the field we were in - frisky bullocks determined to follow us - and chained dogs in a farmyard - the sign on the gate saying enter at your own risk - one of which had slipped the chain.
When we come across West Scholes - a picturesque hamlet - containing this house with impressive date stone - perhaps try large - the first mile was then forgotten - and walked back to the start along Thornton Viaduct
Don't think I'd be looking this good if built in 1696
