Evening Run

A day of travel as the weather as suspected was crap in the morning.

The gorge visited and tea rooms.

It started to clear up so I prepared to head to the hills.

Delayed as I helped get the canoe on the river for the youngsters.

I set off on the bike, dumped it and took to foot. Up the ridge and met a ptarmigan, it was not bothered and just looked at me.

Ran to the first summit, a pebbly plateau caused by the eroded conglomerate rock. Fine views, with rolling cloud coming in. It was gettting late.

I set time targets and headed off. Reached summit 2 and it narrowing edges within the alloted time. headed back with a climb back onto plateau, a wee bit of urgency as the light was going. Along the ridge and down through the boulders to the bike and out to meet the ladies walking up the road to make sure I was ok. A brilliant evening out.
