In the 'Nee Naw'

This afternoon was the annual Salisbury 'Play Day', a free event for children in a city centre park. It was too hot and too crowded, but actually an excellent set up, with loads of free activities ranging from arts and crafts to sports. Ted loved the bouncy castles, but the highlight for him was undoubtedly getting to sit in the fire engine (or 'nee naw' as he calls it). He also got a fire engine key-ring which he grasped in his hot little hand for ours afterwards, a new treasured possession. Despite the excitement, I think he found it all a little overwhelming and was happy to be put in the sling on my back after a while.
