The Writings on the Wall

Felt pretty low last night after discovering a local Photography Group, set-up to help those with DSLR get the best out of their camera, had closed their FB page because of personal abuse aimed at the volunteer Admins. Sad, sad, every group has a basic guidelines to follow, as here, but 'artistic' egos and trolls got in the way. I only saw a few of the comments before I switched off! I can understand why it was pulled.

I felt I was learning and trying new techniques and daring myself to go a place and try again if it hadn't worked. I posted a few things even although my camera is about 10yrs 0ld or so, and tried the 3 pic theme to keep trying different techniques. I never felt that I wasn't welcome because I didn't have 'the best gear', it just made me think "What and how could I push my camera to do the best I could get out of it with my creativity?"

I'll not join another group for a while, I think, as I've looked at others, and nothing inspires. I'll stick with Blipfoto as it's one a day, and keep practising the techniques.

Thank you very much to the volunteers that ran the page, I learnt from it, and I hope those negative people that enjoy spoiling others enjoyment can find a hobby that they can fully participate in and can truly enjoy it without hindrance.

Blip in manual: Wire running down wall, hall light giving a shadow, turned to give the theme of title.
