Toots in Solitude

Craiglockhart Hospital

Wandered up to Craiglockhart Hill again and stand in awe of the Hospital Buildings that once housed and treated the 1st World War shell shocked there.

War poets, Siegfried Sassoon, Robert Graves and Wilfred Owen all stayed there too.

An amazing place altogether. When I first came to Edinburgh in 1966 my landladies son lived there and used to come home to her at weekends. I was curious about the place then but really didn't know anything about it.
