A note about one of the earlier inhabitants of the lovely little Fen Cottage at Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve. What an amazing place for wildlife, landscape, history and ecological study. The National Trust has fantastic plans to restore more of the surrounding land to increase the area of rare fenland habitat and help secure the future survival of many threatened species.
