Shoots up through the stony ground

I've had a good day out with with Sarah, in Moreton-in-Marsh. We drank lots of tea and coffee, ate cake, scoured the charity shops (which are particularly good in M-in-M), had lunch and caught up on life the universe and everything ... well not quite everything, neither of us could talk about Gaza ... too angry and too upsetting.

For some reason nothing in M-in-M struck me for a photo so it was back to the garden ... I love the new, red shoots on a rose bush.
