Small is beautiful!

My sister and I went to Kekvingrove Art Galleries today to see the exhibition of Glasgow's growth from the early 18th Century. There were some fascinating exhibits and film clips but my favourite was this tiny Dancing Master's violin.

'Learning how to dance and play music were part of the normal education of young men and women entering Glasgow's elite society. This pocket-sized violin was used to teach dancing - it was small enough to be played while demonstrating dance steps.'
