Diary of an Edinburgher

Shock! Horror!

No Archie!!

Actually, I could have got a great shot of him playing with a lovely brown curly doodly-dog, Woody, they were leaping around a lot, but Woody kind of dominated him. And barked in his face. Archie got a wee bit fed up, which was why, when I wandered off, Archie came too, followed by Woody, who ignored his owner’s calls for ages.

JR took him for a walk too, later in the morning, after a school visit to chat to folk about their holidays to get organised for Monday. Funnily enough, he met Woody in the afternoon too.

We had a wee wander down the High Street to get into Festival mode. A lovely sunny day and the crowds were out. I was drawn to the bubble man - I love them. But it was hard to get near, or to get a decent shot. I love the kids’ faces when there are bubbles around. But settled for one with adult faces. I felt sorry for him because he could hardly get the bubbles going before the horde of children burst them, they were so near him.

I got a Little Frisky.

No, I got a Medium Frisky. Frozen yoghurt and soooo delicious. They were doing great business, as was everyone, methinks.

Games finished, and GBBO over, now we can catch up this evening with lots of recorded programmes that have been sidelined. Wine and a bag of crisps are beckoning.
