Off a duck's back

So it's true what they say then, as this photo proves!

I was in two minds whether to post this shot, or the surprise discovery I made last night. suehutton suggested that I may have missed something on Sunday - a well hidden great crested grebe chick. I went back and looked at my shots and found she was right! Here's Mum, Dad and Grebe Jr having a free ride - totally missed the chick at first! Thanks Sue.

Overall though, this is a much better photo so I decided this was todays' blip. Why do I like this shot? I like the sense of motion, as well as the technical quality (clarity) in this one. Grainy shots of baby grebes are appealing though, especially if you've never seen one before!
