Peppa Pig @digthecity....

I couldn't decide which picture to post yesterday. I was volunteering at the Dig The City Urban Garden Festival. I decided on the Kora player in the pop up bandstand on New Cathedral Street.

Today real work has got in the way of me being out and about with my camera so I'm posting my other alternative for yesterday. It's Peppa Pig pressing the flesh and doing a meet and greet in St. Ann's Square, Manchester. The square was full of overexcited under fives queuing to meet their idol. Some coped but some were overwhelmed by the enormity of the situation and cried. Or maybe they were scared silly at the sheer size of her!

Just an observation. The chalet to the left of the picture was one of the food concessions in the square. It houses the Pig in the City hog roast, complete with a full roast pig being dismantled bit by bit to make delicious pulled pork, stuffing and apple sauce buns...
