Garden Palace Bridge

Until today, I had never been to 'Ancient Siam'. This Cultural Heritage Park, just on the eastern outskirt of Bangkok is presenting some of the best known monuments of Thailand. Official English webside for 'Ancient Siam'
Some have been carefully reproduced, others have simply been replaced here to preserve them.
The Park is huge and you can visit it with a bicycle, which is what I did for more than two hours. It was a marvelous experience and I came back simply flabbergasted. I took about 100 pictures and I will create a new Flickr album to show this stunning place. Thailand is so rich in cultural sites!
I chose this photo first because it shows a real, old wooden bridge in the shape of a boat. And also because this scene was so serene and inspiring.
Lek Viriyabhun, founder of 'Ancient Siam' in 1963 said this:"Suitability and beauty have no boundary in age. This can be proven by the existence of art, paintings and architecture that were beautifully created by man as lasting treasures and have been handed down by our ancestors. Every piece of art is priceless."
