Designer Stubble

The regular visitors out there will remember that I had a very frustrating day last Saturday with a rather annoying shopping trip. Well, as it turned out the purpose of the trip was a surprise present to me from hubby (what a lovely man) of a new macro lens because he knows how much I love getting up close and personal with the insects (yes, I know I'm a very strange person!!). Today was the first chance I've had since taking delivery of it to give it a proper try out and I have to say I'm liking the results :-)) I didn't really intend to get quite so close to this Common Hawker Dragonfly but as it sat so still and didn't seem to mind at all,I thought I would see just how close I could get. I've had great fun chasing all the insects this morning but it really hasn't done my back much good as I'm really aching now - why does there always have to be a down side? Hopefully it will ease off if I can manage to rest it a bit :-)
