Living in Brabant

By AilsaR

Shaark!

Well, not really, but I found this little boy's water wing rather hilarious.

This morning the coach excursion was to Plymouth. Needless to say, we walked the extra miles to go down to the Hoe, along the Barbican, and around the harbour.

We had to be back at the coach early afternoon, and as usual, we got there just in time :)

On then to Cornwall, over the Tamar Bridge, where you get an good view of Brunel's impressive Royal Albert Bridge, and onto the beautiful fishing village of Looe.

We found a great second-hand bookshop, where I indulged myself, and we even had a paddle in the sea.

Back at the hotel, and after dinner we went to watch the local bowling team.
The team were friendly and chatty, and after a few minutes one of the men asked us why we weren't drinking.

I wasn't sure we're allowed, not being club members, I replied.
Nonsense! It's open for everyone, and the drinks are much cheaper than at your hotel, he smiled.

He was right. They were! After the match, and looking for entertainment, we gatecrashed a hotel party which had a Shadows, cum Tony Christie entertainer.
It was ever-so-slightly naff, and great fun!
